Glenda Gayle Timmons

Glenda Gayle Timmons, age 73, of Ft. Worth, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Glenda, who gave all, loved her Lord, family and friends to the max. Graveside Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Ater Cemetery, near Gatesville, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 6-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Mrs. Timmons was born on March 23, 1937 in Cason, Texas to the late Walter Gilbert Richardson and Frances Wardlow Richardson. She was reared in Easterly, but attended school in Franklin, Texas. She married Mr. Marlin Timmons on June 21, 1960. She and her husband made their home in Ft. Worth, Texas moving to the Ater community in March of 1960. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Faith Family Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Frances Rene Clark, and one brother, Walter Richardson. Mrs. Timmons is survived by her son, Marlin Sam Timmons and his wife Donna of Ft. Worth; stepfather, Curtis Plummer of Bremond; a brother, Johnny M. Richardson of Bremond; and 3 grandchildren, Cory Clark, Zachary Sam Timmons, and Ryan Marlin Timmons. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society
