Jo Bell Palmer

Jo Bell Palmer, age 92, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 peacefully at home. Graveside services are scheduled for 4 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Mound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 113 Lakewood in Gatesville. Jo Bell was born November 5, 1918 in Goss, LA. She was the daughter of Felix Royl Cole and Sarah Elizabeth Rose Cole. She attended Flat High School. She married John William Palmer in 1946 and they made their home at Flat. She worked at Texas Youth Council, State School for Boys, Gatesville County Club and retired from Coryell Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother; Buster Cole. Survivors include son; Roy Alvin Palmer and wife Joanne, daughters; Lynda Beth Brim and husband Henry, Lesia Palmer, sisters; Lois Hopson, Polly Drever and Bobbie Milner, brother Felix (Preacher) Cole, seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
