Stevie Z Phillips

Stevie Z. Phillips, age 96, of Clifton, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 3-5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. Stevie was born on December 20, 1914 in San Saba, TX to the late Stephen and Louise Broadway Wood. She married John Phillips on February 8, 1949. She did Evangelistic work in many areas around Bosque and Hill County. Stevie also wrote Recipe for Living in the Clifton Record. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Roy Nelson McCoy and daughters, Louise Kaleva and Lorena Phillips. Stevie is survived by her husband John Phillips; sons, Jesse McCoy, Stephen Phillips and David Phillips; daughters, Dorothy Mason and Johnnie Locklear; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
