Juanita Lockie Petree

Juanita L. Petree, age 87, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at a local nursing center. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Restland Cemetery. There is no scheduled visitation. Juanita was born February 14, 1924 in Madison County, Texas. She was the daughter of Wesley Alvin Diserens and Lockie Irene Middleton Diserens. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1941. Juanita married Edwin Petree in Lampasas on March 7, 1942. She lived in Gatesville all her married life except during World War II. Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Hartis and husband Don of Gatesville; son, Charles Petree and wife Alisa of Waco; sister, Wilma Spence of Frankston and four grandchildren, Greg Hartis of Gatesville, Karen Petree, Stephen Petree and wife Cameryn and Kristen Petree all of Waco.
