Jimmie Pearl Adams

Jimmie P. Adams, of Gatesville, passed away in Temple on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the age of 87. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Bundrant Cemetery near Purmela. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Jimmie was born on March 27, 1924 to the late Bert W. and Lula Jane Boling Beechly in Levita. She was a member of the Church of Christ Church. She married David Dan Adams on June 21, 1945 in Coryell County. She attended LVN training at Coryell Memorial Hospital and worked as an LVN for over 20 years in Gatesville. In her spare time she loved to quilt, crochet, working crossword puzzles and making jewelry. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, 4 sister, 3 brothers and her dog, Prissy, who she loved. Pallbearers will be Nathan Adams, Richard Adams, Paul Beechly, Marvin Beechley, Billy Beechly and James Brown. She is survived by her sons, Larry Adams of Gatesville, Danny Adams and wife LaQuinna of Waco, Keith Adams and wife Lillian of Waco; grandchildren, Jana Ortega, Jenise Smith and Jaci Duffina; great grandchildren, Sydney Sharp, Grace Smith, Paige Adams, Robert Duffina, Reagan Duffina, Kendall Duffina, and Nicholas Duffina; a brother, Robert Beechly and several nieces and nephews.
