Rosa Belle Miller

Rosa Belle Miller, age 90, of Gatesville passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at a local hospital. Services are scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 PM Monday, June 13, 2011 at the funeral home. Rosa Belle was born on September 17, 1920 in the Ireland Community of Coryell County to the late Charley and Zola McCorkle Williams. She grew up and went to school in Ireland. Rosa Belle married Francis Miller on January 1, 1948 in Gatesville. They resided all their married lives in Gatesville. She worked for many years at the Rotunda Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and later cared for many people in the community in their homes. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. Rosa Belle was preceded in death by her husband on June 10, 2010. Survivors include children, David Miller of Gatesville and Calissa Worthy and husband Cliff of Leander; sister, Jessie Christian of Hamilton, four grandchildren; Christopher Miller, Crystal Jeffcoat, Timothy Worthy and Keri Worthy and four great grandchildren.
