James O'Brien, IV

James O’Brien, IV, age 42, of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Barclay officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM on Friday at the funeral home. James was born on May 11, 1969 in San Marcos, TX to Jim O’Brien and Linda Fry O’Brien. He graduated from Bellvue West High School in Bellvue, Nebraska in 1987. He served in the Army National Guard in Nebraska, Texas and Arizona for five years. He attended UTI in Phoenix, Arizona and was a licensed HVAC technician. He worked in that field until 2009. He attended Coryell Community Church and Live Oak Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, K.R. and Maxine Fry and James and Lovie O’Brien. James is survived by his parents, Jim and Linda O’Brien of Gatesville, TX; son, Tyler O’Brien of Bradenton, FL; daughters, Caity O’Brien of Bradenton, FL and Shannon O’Brien of Gatesville, TX; brother, Jeff O’Brien and wife Crystal of Gatesville, TX; nieces Kelsey and Alli O’Brien; and nephew, James Jacob O’Brien.
