Donna Gay Clay

Donna Gay Clay, age 60, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Live Oak Baptist Church in Gatesville with Rev. Dave Barclay and A.D. Kyle officiating. Burial will follow at the Turnersville Cemetery. She was born on November 17, 1950 in Clifton, Texas. She attended Nursing School and worked as an aide in several nursing homes in the area. She did some modeling and was a singer, having her own band. She was a beloved daughter, sister and mother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Elzie Clay, a sister, Glenda Bove. She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Herring and husband Robert of Trinity; mother, Faynell Clay of Gatesville; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
