Betty Pietraszek

Betty Pietraszek, 85, of Gatesville, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 in a local care center. Graveside Services will be at Masonic Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 to Noon on Wednesday. Betty was born on October 11, 1925 in Gatesville, TX to the late Will and Mary Griffin Rutherford. She married Edward Pietraszek on August 22, 1945 in Alabama. They met while Eddie was stationed at Fort Hood. They moved back to Gatesville in 1982 and had an upholstery business for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie in 2009, 3 sister and 4 brothers. Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joe Kopec, Stan Kopec, Parker Howard, Jackie Howard, Judy Underhill and Cindy Haynes. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gatesville at 912 East Main Street, Gatesville, TX 76528.
