Jerre Ann Raley Pancake

Jerre Ann Raley Pancake, age 72 of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at a Temple hospital. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Turnersville Cemetery. A Mass for the Repose of her Soul will be celebrated at 8:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 8th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Jerre was born on February 14, 1939 in Bosque County, Texas to the late William Raley and Lettie Bell Cox Raley. She married Robert Ed Pancake in Coryell County in 1954. Jerre loved to make dolls and she was a great cook. She helped in her daughter’s dog grooming business. She was a loving wife, mom and grandmother. Jerre is survived by her husband Robert Pancake of Gatesville; daughters, Betty Storey and husband John, Peggy Chastain and husband Dutch, and Shirley Bankers and husband Al, all of Gatesville; one son, Richard Pancake of Gatesville; brothers, Tommy Raley and wife Norma, and Oran Raley and wife Betty; 7 grandkids; 7 great grandkids; and her beloved pet Jo Jo. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer society or to the Humane Society.
