Milton M. Williamson, 94, of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 in a local care center in Gatesville. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Dominy officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Milton was born on January 2, 1917 to the late Charlie Alexander and Lula Tabb Williamson in Damascus, Georgia. He was raised and attended school in Baker County, Georgia. Milton entered the US Army in 1940, serving in WW II, before being honorable discharged in 1945. He married Katie Ayers on Dec. 9, 1944 and they lived in Gatesville. He was an exterminator as a Civil Service Employee at Ft. Hood, retiring in 1972 after 30 years of service. Milton was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Gatesville for over 50 years and was ordained as a deacon in 1967. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters and his wife in 1989. Milton and his wife, Kaite, never had any children but were loved by his nieces and nephews and their families.
