Jeannie Bobek age 79 of Gatesville, was called home to the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, with Eric Boyd and Chaplain Gary Baxley officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco at 12:00 Noon. Following the committal service a reception will be held at the home of her niece, Beverly Boyd, in Twin Villages at 343 Edinburg in Woodway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Scott’s Funeral Home. She was born on June 1, 1932 to the late A.D. and Mamie Haddock Moore. She was married to Frank Bobek, the love of her life on February 14, 1975. They had a wonderful marriage forged deep in love and mutual respect that people will speak of for many years to come. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1988. Jeannie was a kind and gentle soul. She had a special love for family, children and her beloved animals. She and her brother and sisters forged a special relationship that spanned their entire lives. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh and love of life. Jeannie had a special relationship with animals and cared deeply for her pets. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own children and many of them spent summers staying with her and her husband. She resided in Waco most of her life, moving to Gatesville in 1999. Jeannie was a special person and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Juanita Lovejoy and Frances Wilkinson. She is survived by her brother, A. D. Moore and wife Connie of Cleburne; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great – great nieces and nephews.
