Jerry W. Neuman

Jerry W. Neuman, age 73, of Coryell City, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at a Waco hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 24, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00 P.M. Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Jerry was born at home on May 19, 1938 in Coryell City, Texas to the late Ernest and Ida Bohne Neuman. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member. He attended school in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1956. He was a long time Farmer and Rancher. He participated in the local Hay Shows. He served on the Federal Land Bank board, on the Farm Service Committee in Coryell County, and as a Farm Bureau Board member. Jerry is survived by his wife, Norma Neuman; son, Darrell Neuman; daughter Diana Smith and husband Jay; Sister, Linda Harrell; brother Perry Neuman; grandchildren, Christen Wright and Rachel Smith; and one great- grandchild, D.W. Wright. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the St. John Lutheran Church or to the St. John Lutheran Cemetery Funds, 9575 FM 929, Gatesville, Texas 76528
