Ronnie M. Jackson

Ronnie M. Jackson, age 59, of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Private burial of his cremains will follow the service at Restland Cemetery. Ronnie was born on April 18, 1952 in Gatesville to Robert Marshall Jackson and Lela Beth Jayroe. He attended school in Gatesville and graduated from High School in Burleson, TX. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country for 4 years. He married Susan Duckett in 1978 and they lived in Gatesville for the past 32 years. In Gatesville he worked as an EMT, the Gatesville Messenger and most recently was the Activities Director for the Boys and Girls Club. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Gatesville, coached Little League and loved playing softball. Ronnie was also a member of The House that God Build. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jackson and wife; mother, Beth Smith and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Susan Jackson; children, David Jackson and wife Christine, Traci Jackson, April Jackson, Jason Jackson, Wil Jackson and wife, Jamie; step-dad, Carlton Smith; sisters, Denise Collins, Sandra West, Robbie Armstrong, Tina Johnson, Carla Wohlfort and 12 grandchildren.
