Amilee Ruth Clark

Amilee (Bunt) Ruth Clark, age 97, of Copperas Cove, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence. Services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Amilee was born February 21, 1914 in Killeen, Texas. She was the daughter of James Patrick Edwards and Ella Modena Curry Edwards. She graduated from Antelope High School in 1931. Amilee was a riveter at Defense North America in Dallas. She was the 3rd woman to work as the 3rd Assistant Manager at Fort Hood. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Finnis Carroll and Jim Clark; sister, Ima Beverly; brother, Bethal Edwards and nephews, Johnny Bob Young and Lanny Beverly. Survivors include daughters, Sue Carroll and Diki Davis; nieces, Norma Benningfield and Bobbie Sue Young, numerous other family members; special friends Linda & Harvey Brown, Linda Wright, and numerous friends of Bill W. Pallbearers will be Harvey Brown, Brad Cockrell, Luke Jageler, Stanley Williams, Todd Paige and Eddie Jageler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Archie Wright, Scott Redling, Clint Kaetzel, Ronnie Krause and Don at Mel’s Burgers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Copperas Cove Animal Shelter on North 116, Copperas Cove, Texas.
