Walter Gaskamp

Walter F. Gaskamp, 86, of Gatesville passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A.C. Painter officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Walter was born on December 6, 1925 in Coryell County to the late A. A. and Matilda Kasting Gaskamp. He was raised in Coryell County and was in the United States Army from 1944-1946. Walter was a licensed electrician and worked for the City of Gatesville for several years as the City Inspector. He was a Baptist Minister serving White Hall Baptist Church for many years. He also loved music. Walter is survived by his wife, Mary Gaskamp; 8 step children; numerous step grandchildren great grandchildren; sisters, Esther Sheer and Dorothy Symank.
