Sharon Thompson Lennox, age 72, of Mason, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in San Antonio. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 16, 2012 at Coryell Community Church in Gatesville, Texas with Rev. Walter Davidson officiating. Sharon was born on October 15, 1939 to the late Roby and Frances Kennerly Moody in Kleberg County, Texas. Sharon spent her early years in South Texas graduating from Robstown High School. She married Jim Thompson and they had three children. They moved to Central Texas in the early 70’s where she continued her career in banking. She spent the following 20 years working in the Abstract and title business. Sharon married Mike Lennox in 1995 and they moved to Colorado. After several years in Durango they returned to Texas to be near their grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Richard Dean Thompson. Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael Lennox of Mason, TX; daughters, Jill Williams and husband Brad of Vanderbilt, TX and Jana Richardson and husband Bill of Gatesville, TX; son, Scott Thompson and wife Belinda of Corpus Christi, TX; a sister, Marsha Brown and husband Fred Oborne of Temple, TX; a brother, Richard Moody and wife Cleo of Lake Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Cade, Cole and Clay Williams, Hayle and Alli Richardson, and Travis and Tyler Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Mason County Cancer Benefit, c/o Mason National Bank, P.O. Box 1789, Mason, Texas 76856.
