Charles Leon Henson

Charles Leon Henson, age 87 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Temple. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, with Rev. Robert Henline officiating. Mr. Henson was born on September 24, 1924 in the Pecan Grove community of Coryell County to the late Nald and Emma Henson. He grew up in Coryell County and married Virginia Richardson on February 21, 1947. He worked for the State School for Boys for 25 years and for Coryell County in the Road and Bridge Department for over 10 years, until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia; two sons, David and Kelvin Henson; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
