Sherrell Everett Broam

Sherrell Everett Broam, age 75 of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 5th at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Gill officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 P.M. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery near Killeen. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Sherrell was born on November 19, 1936 in Killeen Texas to the late James Durward Everett and Lucy Lorene Phillips Vroman. She grew up and attended school in Killeen. She has resided in Gatesville since 1964. She worked at TDCJ for 38 years, mostly at the Gatesville Unit, before retiring in 2000. Sherrell was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Everett and Stanley Everett; and one sister, Billie June Schoppe. Sherrell is survived by sons, Terry Meaders and wife Elizabeth of Glen Rose and Keith Meaders and wife Susan of Gatesville; daughters, Ramona Cox and husband Gary of Lorena and Kelly Grant and husband Weldon of Gatesville; sisters, Connie Jones and husband Raymond of Gatesville and Nell Shirley of China Spring; brother, Randy Vroman and wife Suzanne of Gatesville; brother- in- law Phil Schoppe of Waco; grandchildren, Terra Castenon, Jess Meaders, Christopher Meaders, Madeline Meaders, Seth Meaders, Nicholas Meaders, Tristen Meaders, Corinne Zejda, Matt Zejda, Stephanie Campbell, Ranessa Grant, and Cordell Grant; 5 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends, 6321 Airport Rd, Waco, TX 76708.
