Maria Herlinda Robles

Maria Herlinda Robles, 78, of Gatesville, passed away on March 13, 2012 in Gatesville. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial following at Restland Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Maria was born on October 18, 1933 to Eluterio and Guadalupe Sifuentes Martinez in Cd. Acuna Coahuila, Mexico. She married Osvaldo Cardenas Robles on April 9, 1951 and lived in the Gatesville community since 1965. Maria loved her family and spent her life devoted to them. She loved caring for her grandchildren, sewing, knitting and making tamales for her family and the community. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010; son, Juan Manuel Robles; daughters, Guadalupe (Lupita) Robles and Teresa (Teresita) Robles; 2 granddaughters , Erika Marie Robles and Angelita Meza; 1 sister and 1 brother. Maria is survived by her sons; Benjamin Robles and wife Araceli of Ft. Worth, Osvaldo Robles, Jr. and wife Blanca of Alvarado, Ramiro (Joe) Robles and wife Gail of Gatesville; daughters, Sylvia Cuellar and husband Carlos of Gatesville, Maria Mejia and husband Crispin of Gatesville, Guadalupe Meza and husband Macario of Ft. Worth, Rosario Zungia and husband Javier of Gatesville, and 3 sisters, Maria Jesus Rivera of Del Rio, TX, Saragoza Martinez of Dallas, Maltilde Martinez of Mexico; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson and one future great granddaughter arriving in April.
