Margaret Ruth Veazey

Mrs. Margaret Ruth Veazey age 80 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in a Gatesville care center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, with Jimmie Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at the Pidcoke Cemetery. The family will receive visitors anytime at the Veazey’s home at 105 Robert H. Evetts Drive in Gatesville. Mrs. Veazey was born on January 11, 1932 in Pidcoke. She was the daughter of the late Charles Hugh and Betty Basham Evetts. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1950. She married Billy Hugh Veazey on December 1, 1951. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Gatesville. She was a member of the Ft. Gates Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Neely Rainwater; brothers, Wendell Evetts, Robert H. Evetts, Jackie Evetts, Curtis Evetts; and a sister, Catherine Jones. She is survived by her husband, Billy Hugh Veazey; daughters, Margo Ferguson and husband Jimmie of Gatesville, Torrie Rainwater and husband Mark of Lampasas; sons, Huey Veazey of Gatesville, Justin Veazey and wife Amy of Gatesville; brothers, Alford H. Evetts and wife Ruby of Gatesville, Bob Evetts and wife Betty of Bedford, Carroll Wayne Evetts of Gatesville; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
