Gene Keadle, Jr.

Gene Keadle, Jr., age 78, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 at his residence. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2007 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at McGregor City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Keadle was born August 9, 1929 in Longview, Texas. He was the son of Wylie Eugene Keadle, Sr. and Nora May Hesser Keadle. Gene married Linda Marie Wiese on November 24, 1975. He was owner of Gene’s Heating and Air Conditioning from 1983 until his retirement in 2003. After his retirement he became active in farming and ranching. Gene was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flat. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Hancock and brother, Wayne Keadle. Survivors include wife. Linda Keadle; son, Brian Keadle and wife Samantha; step-daughter, Ann McCorley and husband David, sisters; Ellie Tuttle, Loretta Howard, Mary Joyce Gordon and husband Travis, brothers, James Keadle and wife Doris, Charles Keadle and wife Robin, Bill Keadle and wife Shirley and Leroy Keadle and 3 step-grandchildren, Ashley Harris, Kristi Kendall and Wesley Layton. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
