Lola Mae Moore

Lola Mae Moore, 83, of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Gatesville. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Restland Cemetery with Pastor Charles McKamie officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Lola Moore was born on March 31, 1929 in Milam County, Texas to the late R.M. and Sammie Warren Jones. She married Alton Earl Moore on April 28, 1983 and was a devoted wife to him until his death on May 15, 2000. She loved to cook, especially for her family during the holidays. She was a homemaker and dietician, working in local nursing homes and the hospital. She was a caregiver and in her retirement years worked for home health care agencies. She was a member of King Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue Jones Dossey and two brothers, George W. and Ralph E. Jones. She is survived by her daughter Lola Ann Lam and husband Mark of Gatesville; step-daughter, Becky McCartney and husband Bryan of Gholson; step-son, Nicky Moore of Gatesville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nephew, Robert Jones and niece, Mary Weaks both of Temple. Pallbearers are Phillip Gregory, Jay Weaks, Tyler Moore, Mark Lee Moore, Nicky Moore and Ray Veach.
