An angel has returned to heaven to be with her Lord. Juanita Graves Benson, a devoted wife, mother, and sister passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 peacefully at home in Levita, Texas. Juanita dedicated her life to her loving family for more than 62 years and considered herself to be extremely blessed. She was 80 years old. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Coffey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Juanita was born on October 15, 1931 to Daws and Florence Graves. She was a graduate of Turnersville High School and enjoyed seeing her classmates every year at their reunion. She married the love of her life, Darrell Benson on January 6, 1951 and became a housewife and a loving mother of two boys. She enjoyed attending the Cowboy Church of Gatesville, Texas and was active in attending all special events of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed old western movies and books and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; 9 sisters; and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Benson; sons, Johnny Benson and wife Vicki, Eddie Benson and wife Debbie; 3 grandchildren, Coy Benson and wife Brandy, Laci Riley and husband Anthony, Elaina Benson; 4 great grandchildren, Tannon and Layken Benson, Gavin and Dylan Hartman all of Gatesville; one sister, Mildred (Jo) Morgan of Mesquite, Texas. Juanita was a true blessing to all those who had the opportunity to know and share their lives with her. She will be greatly missed!
