Dennie Hilger

Dennie Hilger, age 91 of Jonesboro, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 in a Hamilton hospital. Private interment will be at the Jonesboro Cemetery. The family will be receiving visitors for a time of fellowship at 12 noon on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Jonesboro Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Mrs. Hilger was born on January 10, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan where she also grew up. She graduated from Highland Lakes High School in Detroit. She served in the Civil Air Patrol as a pilot, ferrying planes. She was also an accountant later in life. She was a Christian Scientist. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Young and husband Charles of Jonesboro, Sandy Harvey and husband Charley of League City, Patty Doyle and husband Darrel of Coldspring; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
