Jean Hammond

Jean Hammond, age 81, of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at a local nursing center. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Levita Cemetery. Jean was born on July 3, 1931 in Elgin, Texas to the late David Lively and Thelma Beatrice McVay Lively. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Milby High School. She married Eddie Hammond in 1968 and they have resided in Gatesville since 1975. She was a pioneer of the Alcoholics Anonymous in Gatesville. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Eddie Hammond of Gatesville.
