Albert E. (Butch) Graeter, Jr., age 78, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow at Bulman Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Albert was born on May 5, 1934 to the late Albert E. and Artie Mae Graeter of Pleasant Valley, where he lived all of his life. He graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1951. On July 15, 1952, Butch married the love of his life, Wilma Fay Haley. Butch was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church his whole life. Butch was loved by many and argued with the rest. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Carter and Cleone (Dean) Harkins. Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wilma Fay Haley Graeter; sister, Mary Dupuy and husband, Jimmy of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Judy Puryear and husband, Darrell of Gatesville, son, Steve Graeter and wife, Brenda of Robinson, grandchildren, Rodney Murry and wife, Jennifer, Hillary Keeton and husband, Leon, Amanda Treadway and husband, Chad, Tammy Crowley and husband, Eddie, Stephanie Anders, and A. J. Graeter; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving, Matthew, former preacher of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Mandy Gilmore of Nebraska and their seven children.
