Margaret Lynn Meeks

Margaret Lynn Perryman Meeks, age 69, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at a Temple Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Pidcoke Cemetery. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Pidcoke Methodist Church. A Rosary and viewing will be at 6:00 PM Thursday at the Church. Margaret was born June 11, 1938 in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Vern Perryman and Margaret Ponton Perryman. She attended school in Harman and graduated from Gatesville High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. Margaret married Dean Meeks in 1956. She worked for the Gatesville Elementary School as a secretary and worked for TDCJ and Child protective services. She and Dean served as foster parents for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and four infant sisters. Survivors include her husband; Dean Meeks, daughters; Andrea Lynn Cook and husband Cody and Drew Anne Paige and husband Todd, son; David Smith, sisters; Phyllis Pardee, Dixie Henry, Mary Nolen, Susie Hartgraves, Kerry Courtney and five grandchildren; Sara Valenzuela, Adelina Valenzuela, Bethny Brooks, Andrew Armstrong and Macey Paige Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
