John Jarret Colton Carter

John Jarret Colton Carter, age 26, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Temple, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville. Burial will follow at Gatesville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Jarret was born on August 22, 1986 in Temple, Texas to Coy and Nina Morgan Carter. He loved to tell jokes and always enjoyed making everybody around him laugh. Jarret had a very big heart, loved his family and was protective of his sisters and daughter, Hazely. He was baptized at Live Oak Baptist Church in 1997. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edwin Morgan; and grandmother, Henrietta Honea. Jarret is survived by his father, Coy Carter, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth; mother, Nina Lynne Carter and husband, Jeff; daughter, Hazely Morgan Carter; sisters, Ashley Gusukuma and husband, Tim of Royse City, Texas, Adrian Carter and husband, Eddy of Gatesville, and Ashton Carter and husband, Jacob of Gatesville; grandmother, Reva Blanchard of Gatesville; grandfather, Ray Honea; step-sisters, Erin Lord and Ashton Lord; and step-brothers, Jacob Lord and Spencer Lord.
