Henry Perkins, Sr.

Henry Elijah Joe Perkins, Sr., age 79, of McGregor passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012. Graveside services will be 10:30AM, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Restland Cemetery. No set time for visitation. Henry was born on April 15, 1933 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Andrew and Ivy Blankney Perkins. He married Dorothy Mae Hurt on April 2, 1954 in Uvalde. Henry was a truck driver for rock quarries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy on May 7, 2012; son, Floyd Perkins; daughter, Valerie Perkins; sisters, Molly, Christine, Edie and Jewel; brothers, Joe and Billy; and a grandson. Henry is survived by his sons, Henry Perkins, Jr. of Moody, Texas, Lloyd Perkins, Gregory Perkins, and Raymond Perkins, all of Gatesville, Texas, Darrell Perkins of Hico, Texas; daughter, Dorothy Oglesby of Gatesville; brothers, Tommy Perkins and Alfred Perkins; sister, Amy Cox; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
