Murl Blanchard

Murl Blanchard age 85, of Gatesville went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 13, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2008 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Murl was born August 17, 1922, in Coryell County Texas. She was the daughter of J. W. Palmer and Jewel Beasley Palmer. She married A. D. Blanchard on October 5, 1940. Murl worked at Medical Plastics for seventeen years and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joann and son, baby boy Blanchard and 2 brothers-in-law. Survivors include sons, Thomas A Blanchard and wife Bobbie; Ronnie J. Blanchard and wife Reva; sisters, Edith Blanchard, Kathleen Blanchard, Joyce White and husband Charles and Jo Marie Pope and husband Tommy; 7 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
