Wanda Louise Walker

Wanda Louise Walker, age 82, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at a local nursing center surrounded by her family. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Restland Cemetery with Rev. Steve Bogan officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Wanda was born November 23, 1930 in Florence, Texas. She was the daughter of James W. McElroy and Minnie Ray McElroy. She married Elwood Walker in 1962. Wanda worked as a secretary for the Coryell County Auditor, Powell Supply and Miller Motors. She also worked as a guard for TDCJ. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson; Jason Neel, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include daughters; Brenda Crawford and Lynda Neel and husband Bubba, sisters; Patsy Blanchard and Janice Caudle, grandchildren; Sammy Crawford and wife Jennifer and Brandie Wallace and husband Chris, great grandchildren; Dalton Woodall, Gill Wallace, Marty Wallace, Gage Crawford and Gaven Crawford.
