Ruby Lee Evetts

Ruby Lee Evetts, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Barclay and Rev. Nathan Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Pidcoke Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Ruby was born on April 23, 1928 in Gatesville, Texas to the late Leroy McCutchen and Jewell Gaston McCutchen. She grew up and went to school in Oglesby and Owl Creek. Ruby graduated from Oglesby High School in 1946. She married Alford H. Evetts on March 29, 1946. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Harold Evetts. Ruby is survived by her husband, Alford H. Evetts; son, James Evetts and wife, Donita of Cleburne; daughter, Judy Rader and husband, William C. (Bill) of Gatesville; brother, Gene McCutchen of Copperas Cove; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
