Cherry Charlene Clary Wilhelm

Cherry Charlene Clary Wilhelm, age 84, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Buddy Wheat officiating. Burial will be prior to the service at 11:30AM at Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00PM Friday evening at Scott’s Funeral Home. Cherry Charlene Clary was born on February 25, 1928 in Gatesville, Texas. She was the third daughter of Alvin and Cannie Osborn Clary. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1945. She attended Lillie Jolly School of Nursing (Memorial Baptist Hospital, Houston) in 1948. In 1949, she married Ted V. Foote, Sr., who died in 1979. In 1982, she married Clarence Edwin Wilhelm, who died in 2005. She served several nursing care positions in Coryell County for 40 years, including Coryell Memorial Hospital, Texas Dept. of Corrections, and Home Health Care. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gatesville and was ordained an Elder in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jimmie Will and Josephine; and brother, Dale. Cherry is survived by her daughter, Marsha Alvarado; sons, Ted V. Foote, Jr. and Joseph Brian Foote; grandchildren, Jordan Goates, Amanda Alvarado Sterling, Drew Foote, Kendall Foote, and Payton Foote; step-daughters, Linda Hail and Shirley Smith; step-son, Keith Wilhelm; step-grandchildren, Regina McPherson and Melissa Paulea; step-great-grandchildren, Matthew and Collin McPherson, Riley Derbyshire, A.J. and Wyatt Paulea; and by numerous other family members and friends.
