Robert James Stoddard

Robert Stoddard, 75, of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Bee House Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Robert was born on January 16, 1933 to the late Robert E. and Marie Lacy Stoddard. He was also the grandson of Doc Stoddard. Robert served his country for 3 years in the Army during the Korean War. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and everyone knew his love for hunting and fishing. Robert was a welder by trade working in numerous states. Before moving back to Gatesville in 1998 he lived in Green River, WY. Robert is survived by his wife, Maria Stoddard; stepsons, Charles Miller of California, James Miller of Arizona, Paul Miller of WY and Darrel Miller and wife Kathleen of WY; cousins, Carl D. Lacy and wife Martha of Gatesville, Howard Weldon and wife Dean Lacy of Premont, TX, special friends, David and Sylvia Straley and the “Cowboys”.
