Martha Ann (Davidson) Morris

Martha Ann (Davidson) Morris, age 82, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Levi Price officiating. Visitation will be following the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Martha Ann was born on November 11, 1930 in Gatesville, Texas to the late John Elgin Davidson, Jr. and Ione Ruth Fletcher Davidson. She grew up in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School. She went to University of North Texas in Denton and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Martha Ann married Mack Morris on January 24, 1952 in Gatesville. They have resided in Gatesville since 1956. She was a civil service employee at Ft. Hood as a program and budget director. She retired from Ft. Hood after 20 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Martha Ann is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mack Morris; daughter, Shelly Cooley of Waxahachie; and grandchildren, Travis Cooley of Valdosta, Georgia and Chad Cooley of San Antonio.
