Delores Marie Carter

Delores Marie Carter, age 48, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at a Temple hospital. Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Delores was born, August 14, 1959 in Gatesville. She was the daughter of Willie C and Lila Mae Holmes Knox. She married Jerry Carter of St. Louis, Mo. She was a devoted wife and mother. Delores was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked at Darnell Army Hospital for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and oldest sister Tillitha L. Roberts. Survivors include her sons; Jerry Carter and Rueben Carter of Gatesville and Terrell Carter and Derrell Carter of St. Louis, MO, brothers; Willie C. Knox, Jr., Jimmy L. Knox and John C. Knox all of Gatesville; sister Lila P. Knox of Gatesville and a host of Nieces and nephews.
