Margaret Koether Truelove, age 91, of Gatesville entered into the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by family and friends Thursday, March 14, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, Texas with Rev. Kurt Fuessel officiating. Burial will follow at Hemmeline Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Margaret was born on February 1, 1922 in Gatesville, Texas, the third of five daughters born to Henry Koether, Jr. and Minnie Louise Nitschke. Margaret was raised in the Sly Community west of Gatesville and attended school there. On November 22, 1936 she married Barney Truelove. They were blessed with 56 years of marriage together and five loving daughters. As a devoted wife and mother, she was a constant inspiration to all who knew her. She leaves as her legacy a life of passion for her family, her friends and her services to our Lord Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy was spending time with her church family and her children. As the wife of a farmer, she loved gardening, her chickens and all things outdoors. She lived a life of devoted services to others. Her fun passions included fishing with a cane pole, her Dallas Cowboys and a very competitive game of Wahoo. She was a lifelong Baptist and a devoted member of Mountain Baptist Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Delta Merchant, Evelyn Horne, Eva Sanders and Dorothy Schafer, and her husband Barney who entered the Kingdom of Heaven August 23, 1993. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Lucille Beaty of Oglesby, Louise Glass and husband Don of Gatesville, Sue Smith and husband Charles of Gatesville, Ann Fisher and husband Junior of McGregor and Kay Hennig of Gatesville; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and brother-in-law, Charles Schafer of Waco. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lynn Glass, Keith Smith, Kevin Smith, Ronald Meeks, Jim Harrellsen and Chris Cockrell. Memorials may be made to Mountain Baptist Church, 6319 E.
