Margaret Yeilding, age 95, of Gatesville passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Levi Price officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00PM, Monday, April 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Margaret was born on September 14, 1917 in the Arnett community to the late Tom and Julia Neavitt Boyd. She grew up and attended school in the Gatesville area. Margaret married Hollis Yeilding on November 29, 1934. She and her husband were in the ministry and they resided in several locations as he pastored several Baptist churches, spending most of their time in Abilene and Duncanville. Margaret worked at the Baptist Bookstores in Dallas and Arlington, retiring in 1979. They moved back to Gatesville in 1986. Her husband preceded her in death on March 14, 2006. Margaret was a fourth generation Coryell county native. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, U.S. Daughters of 1812 and the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century. Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Kenneth Yeilding; sisters, Minnie Beth Jackson and Tommie Bennett; and brothers, Felix Boyd, Joe Boyd, and Jack Boyd. Margaret is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patsy Yeilding of Odessa; daughter, La Nell Spears and husband, Norman of Lubbock, TX; sons, Hollis C. Yeilding, Jr. of Redding, CA and Dr. David Yeilding and wife, Dr. Donnie Yeilding of Temple, TX; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
