Bill Davis

Bill Davis, age 86, of Gatesville passed away Monday, April 22, 2013. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Bill was born on January 18, 1927 in Gatesville, Texas to the late William David and Roby Edith Davis. He spent his childhood and attended school at Brown’s Crossing. When Ft. Hood was formed, he and his family moved to Gatesville. Bill graduated from Gatesville High School in 1943. In 1947, he started his career with Morton Scott & Son. When Scott’s merged with Leaird’s in 1977, he continued his employment for 64 years until his retirement in 2011. He was known as a lover of animals. His favorite pastime was drinking coffee with his friends at the National Bank and McDonald’s. Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends, P.O.
