Florence Leach

Florence Leach, age 87, of Evant passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Evant, 200 E. Live Oak St. with the Rev. Jamie Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow at Bee House Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00PM, Friday, June 7, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Florence was born on March 10, 1926 in Bakersfield, California to the late Clarence and Nettie Mae Croft Freeman. She grew up in California. Florence married Bassel D. Leach on May 11, 1942. They resided in Biggs, CA until moving to Evant, TX in 1983. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her son, Victor Humphrey; and three grandchildren. Florence is survived by her sons, Floyd Leach and wife, Kay, Bassel Lloyd Leach and wife, Carol, Richard Lee Leach and wife, Sharon Rena, John Leach, Alvin Leach and wife, Sara, Keith Leach, and Tim Leach and wife, Emma; daughters, Irene Mosley and husband, Clifford, Sharon Faye Eades, Rosie Devine and husband, Richard, Patty Showecker and husband, Roger, and Irene Leach; 31 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
