Kenneth D. Canaday, age 70, passed away April 4th, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral Services with full Military Honors will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at The Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Kenneth was born December 14, 1937 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Ernest and Hazelteen Canaday. He served his country for 20 years in the US Army, most notably two tours in Vietnam, one of them with the 101st Airborne Division, where he earned three purple hearts and a bronze star, and 10 years as an airborne instructor at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He touched many lives and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kitty Canaday of Gatesville, daughters; Carol Massie, Cathy Miller, Christy Paulson, Theresa Hulton and their spouses. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, two half-brothers and three half sisters.
