Frances Marie Kinard

Frances Marie Kinard, age 82, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at a local hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2008 at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Frances was born January 11, 1926 in Mesa, Arizona. She was the daughter of Harvey and Daizy Warren Fisher. She came to Coryell County as a small child where she was reared and educated in Purmela, Plainview, Arnett and graduated from Gatesville High School. She married Rupert Thurman Kinard on July 28, 1943 in Gatesville. Mrs. Kinard went to work for United Telephone Systems in 1951 and held many positions before becoming Chief Operator in 1962 and she worked in that position until her retirement in November of 1983. She was a member of The Gatesville Volunteer Firebells for many years and she was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; William “Bill” Kinard and one brother. Survivors include daughter; Patricia Ritter of Waco and two grandchildren; Kyle Ritter and Matthew Ritter. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
