Claydene Slover

Claydene Slover, age 81, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Graveside services will be 10:00a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Liveoak Cemetery in Hamilton County with Rev. Doug Bates officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:00p.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Claydene was born on January 27, 1932 in Hamilton, Texas to the late David and Clayda Parrish Hedgpeth. She graduated from Hamilton High School. She received a bachelor’s of Business Administration from University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Claydene worked as a nursing home administrator for several years until her health forced her to retire in 1979. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her father, David Hedgpeth; mother, Clayda Allen; and sister, Kittie Davene Dees. Claydene is survived by her brother, Ben Hedgpeth of Niwot, Colorado; step-father, Frank Allen of Gatesville; and step-brother, David Allen of Gatesville.
