Barry Pardo, age 71, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenbriar Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00p.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Barry was born on October 1, 1942 in Pittsburg, PA to the late Albert and Doral Dodd Pardo. He attended school in Phoenix, AZ, graduating in 1960. Barry served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, after which he moved to Las Vegas, where he owned a diesel fuel injection and engine remanufacturing business for 25 years. Barry then moved to central Texas in 1990 and was a cattle rancher in Coryell County for 23 years with his twin brother Brian. He married Sherazan Turner on April 19, 2003. His accomplishments include President of the Rotary Club, as well as, serving on several boards in Las Vegas, and he served on the Jonesboro School Board after moving to Central Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Barry is survived by his wife, Sherazan Pardo; sons, Evan Pardo, Bo Mayberry, daughter, Kathleen “Kitti” Hammons; step-son, Kelly Rauschenberg; step-daughters, Courtney Mayberry and Teryn Rauschenberg; brothers, Brian D. Pardo and Dan Pardo; and grandchildren, Kira, Gage, Aspyn, Logan, Cali, Preslee, Jaxon, Colby, and Riley. Memorials may be made to ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
