Dolores Jean Robertson, age 74 of Belton, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 in McGregor. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville, with Rev. Buddy Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 23rd at the funeral home. Jean was born on April 28, 1939 in Coleman, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Dolph and Vergie Pen Tesson. She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1957. She married Sherman Robertson on September 2, 1960. They moved to Gatesville in 1980, residing here for 25 years, moving to Cypress in 2005 and then to Belton, where they currently resided. She was a civil service employee at Ft. Hood, as a budget analyst, retiring after 25 years of service. Upon her retirement, she volunteered at Coryell Memorial Hospital and at the hospital in Cypress. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gatesville. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bradie Robertson in 1998. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Robertson of Belton; daughter, Ginger Elliott and husband Darrell of Belton; son, Randy Robertson and wife April of Gatesville; sister, Dana Lynn Anderson and husband John of Garland; four grandchildren, Brittan and Bailey Elliott and Payton and Sydnie Robertson. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or the individual’s favorite charity.
