Dr. Willie Clarke

Dr. Willie E. Clarke, 65, of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church, 1600 E. League Street in Waco and at 12 Noon, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at The First Baptist Church of Gatesville with burial to follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home, 904 E. Leon St. in Gatesville. Rev. Dr. Willie E. Clarke has been the Senior Pastor of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Waco for 5 years and was the Senior Pastor of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Gatesville for 20 years. Pastor Clarke received his BA in Christian Education, MA in theology, DIV, and THD from The American Bible Institute and Seminary. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 43 years, Mrs. Robbie Delores Clarke; father, Benny Earl Clark; mother, Ethel Clark; and sister, Florida Brown. He is survived by his sons, Kevin D. Clarke of Gatesville, and Dr. Keith Clarke of Houston; grandchildren, Brittany, Kevin Jr., Robbie Jean, and Tristan, all of Gatesville; sisters, Becky Sims, Shirley Jackson, Mary Scott, Earline Sims, Lynn Henderson; and brothers, William Henderson, Don Henderson, Freddy Henderson.
