Edward Hammond

Eddie Hammond, age 84, of Gatesville passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Levita Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Eddie was born on July 23, 1928. He was in the U.S. Air Force for eleven years and was assigned to Andrews A.F.B Squadron TO-43501 as a radar mechanic. He married Jean Harris in 1968 and they moved to Gatesville in 1975. He worked for Sam’s T.V. for fifteen years and owned and operated Fast Eddie’s TV Shop. His wife preceded him in death on August 3, 2012. He is survived by his sister, Oleta Mae Mangus of Odessa.
