Don Byron Landers, age 86 of Gatesville, formerly of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, November 03, 2013 in Temple. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Don was born on January 27, 1927 in Colorado City, Texas, to the late Harry Landers, Jr. and Josephine Francis Hamlett Landers. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and was stationed in China and served in the Air Force, during the Korean War, stationed in Japan. He married Betty Lovell on August 6, 1955 in Houston. He worked for Oil States Industries in Arlington for thirty years, retiring in 1992 as Vice President of Offshore Sales. After his retirement, they have resided in Hamilton, moving to Gatesville in 2005. Don was a Master Mason and received his sixty-five year award as a Mason in October of this year, he was also a member of the York Rite, Scottish Rite and Moslah Shrine. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James H. Landers and a sister, Harry Etta Westerman. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Lovell Landers, nephews, nieces and a sister-in-law.
