Poneice Tippit

Poneice Tippit, age 82, of Gatesville passed away, Friday, December 27, 2013. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Poneice was born on May 10, 1931 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Coy Lee Goldsmith and Rocco Riley. She grew up in west Texas graduating from Tahoka High School in 1950. She married Bob Tippit in 1952. Poneice was a homemaker. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Poneice is survived by her son, Jerry Tippit and wife, Bobbie of Gatesville; daughter, Judy Tippit of Bedford; sister, Pauline Nevill of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Billy Tippit and wife, Lois, Terry Tippit and wife, Stacey, and Cody Tippit and wife, Amber, all of Gatesville; great-grandchildren, Adrian Tippit, Jakson Tippit, Dakotah Tippit, and Destinee Tippit; and numerous nieces and nephews.
